yes, isn't that embarrassing? I wish my son and husband had never figured out how to destroy their evidence, it gave me a lot of leverage around the house...anyway, go to Tools (top of the page) and then Internet Options, click around (it might be different for you) until you find the 'delete history' button, and then click on that. It might take a while. Then you can set the history for how long you want things saved, from 0 to however many days you want it to stay there.good luck!
Click your start button, select Control Panel and then select Internet Options. You will have several choices to erase history. One of the choices is Browser History. Select Delete and this will take care of it. You may also want to Delete Temporary Internet Folders, this when full can slow down your computer. If you select Settings you can actually tell the computer when you want to reset the websites you have browsed. Good Luck
In the green tab on the bar clear recent searches. In inet options in the control panel use the clear history tab.
sometime you need to delete the cookies too
so select delete all in firefox & also delete temp files, cookies , & history too in IE 6 & 7
THat;s all
this should help you with it
If you are using Firefox; you can disable the saving of what you typed in the search forms. For that, go to Tools > Options > Privacy and remove the tick mark for "Remember what I enter in forms and search bar". Also, you can set Firefox remove all temporary data automatically while you close the browser. For that; go to Tools > Options > Privacy and put the tick mark for "Always clear my Private data when I close Firefox". Also check the settings button near to it for more options.
Hope it might help you.
