If your fans power up you maybe want to clean your case ;-) at least once a year ! Cause having a clean case means less heat. Also sort your wires to allow a straight air flow, might be useful.

You're absolutely right - I took the case off and it was like the inside of a vacuum cleaner - full of dust!

A good clean out and some cable streamlining and it's much better now!

Yeah, I never thought there would be that much dust, but if I opened my case first cause of similar problems you did, I was really shock. So my suggestion is it to clean you case at least once a year.

Or, as I plan to do with my next PC build, get an ATX case with transparent side panel..then you can see when it needs cleaning! Also try and tie cables together and use rounded ones.

It helps if the case has air inlets at the back and outlets at the front. I like the Antec 900 cos of this.

Nice Tips. they are awfully very useful. I freed up a couple 100mbs. My pc is going a little faster than before
