Is Windows 7 at least as stable as Vista SP2 ?

i run Vista Ultimate SP2 . i have found it very stable .
simple question ..
is any Win 7 purchased on Oct 22 at least as stable as Vista SP2 [ considering that they both have same kernel ]
i have only one computer and i use it to share trade daily .. i cannot afford to have it go bust ..
i am planning to install it on a Saturday [ this Saturday ]
any warnings i should be aware of ?

It's as stable, yeah.
Same kernel and stuff. Same in most ways.
Vista is pretty darn stable, and so is 7. No problems with that.
