Default How do i shutdown windows vista before installing it?

i just got my new laptop and i turned it on, then it takes me to the install wizard. but i don't want to install it now.. i have decided i want to send it back. but when i pres the power button to shut it down it just goes into sleep mode. i need to take the battery out and put it back in the packet but i can't when its in sleep mode. and i cant seem to find a way to shut it down. is there a key i can press? or open command prompt to shut it down?

also i dont want to hold the button down and force shut down. i want to do it normally

Just press and hold the power button down.

You're not going to hurt it.

yeah holding the power button down for 5-10 seconds executes forced shutdown in most system. Just pressing the power button once might just cause it to either go in standby mode or sleep mode in your case.
