There are many ways to hide a folder for any purpose. Here is one of the ways you can consider: 1. Create any new Folder. 2. Right click and go to Rename, remove the content, press Alt and type “0160″. The Folder name would become blank. 3. Now go on to the properties of the folder and click "Customize", and click "Change Icon". 4. Here you will find some icons without any kind of images. 5. Select any of these images and click "OK". You will now see that your folder is now invisible. Because when we write numerics with Alt key combination this no more character for computer this is ASCII code. A symbolic language for computer and Alt+0160 is ASCII code for blank space. Of course this is not the best way of hiding a folder but it's always good to try. ![]()

Locking of folders using ascii values also worked with windows versions older than XP. is it still working in XP. It was a hard thing during my school days to find the ascii vales of symbols used for locking folders. Folders can be seen in the gui mode, but when you try to open, you will get an error message that the folder does not exist. Isn't that tricky? and it uses no extra softwares.

err seghwa that will not make the folder invisible, go to explorer and it will be clearly visible, and you don't need to use the graphic code for a blank space, just press the space bar. If you want to hide a folder right click the folder, click properties, then check the "hidden" checkbox and click ok, done.
