Default Which anti-virus do you use?

Which anti-virus do you use? I use NOD32, however, someone told me that it is not really powerful.

Do you have any suggestions?

it is up to the virus that you get ever. as long as I know that NOD32 is one of the powerfull antivirus that you can try. but some of the virus (just little) could attack the system. another powerfull antivirus that I am using today is AVG 8.0, before using this antivirus I used kaspersky 6 but my system Attacked by virus, then I try to use AVG 8.0 and it is ok. so which antivirus ? just update your database regurarly. and it will be ok

In my Windows, I use Antivir PE Classic along with Clamwin. I have been using it for an year without any problems. I have tried AVG and NOD 32, but felt as less powerful.

Moreover, now, I am using Linux most of the time and windows only to take internet as Linux doesn't support my dial up modem. So, now a days, I didn't care about the antivirus softwares.

I'm using AntiVir right now, because I've found it to be most effective, while using the least system resources.

You are right. NOD32 is not powerfull enough. It catches the big ones but can't even detect small ones which can really be a headache for anyone. You should try AVG. The latest version is the AVG 8. I have been using AVG ever since I started using computers. I have tried Norton, Kaspersky and all. They are also good but the problem is they make your system slow. They really take up huge share of your RAM. But AVG does not use high amount of memory. So try AVG.

I use Avira AntiVir, which is free, light, and very effective according to recent tests.

I'm using Kaspersky Anti Virus and I'm very satisfied with the performance it gives me. It's been years now that I've used this one. I don't think I'd get along well with any other AV now!!!
