Default Windows 7 Beta

Has anyone tried the free Windows 7 beta?

I have and I'm pretty happy with it, the Superbar (new task bar) is really well done, best mouse based application picker I've used ever, and I've used everything out there

However, I'm having a bit of trouble with my wireless: it seems to lose its connection every few minutes, and sometimes the only way to get it back is to disable and reenable the network adapter.

Anyone else having the same problem? Or any other impressions?

I've got 4 beta keys for quite some time now (no, I haven't cheated. For some strange reason I just received 4 keys at once), but haven't actually activated any of them. Still waiting for my HDD to arrive (2TB WD, hasn't been released yet, so waiting...) As soon as I have that I'm going to try it out. Have heard a lot of good things about performance, so I'm eager to run 3dMark and SuperPi on it.

You've got a seriously outdated system if you're still on 512. I had that in 2003, imagine that

I'd say, have at least 2 Gb if you want to have the right experience. Vista is a pain with 2Gb, so I guess 4 is advisable.

That's the problem with Windows. Whenever a new version comes, it demands for more and more hardware resources. And people like me in the developing and under developed countries can't afford buying new hardware, along with buying the OS at a high rate.

In my case, I still use a 3 year old system with just 384MB RAM and working fine with Debian Lenny testing, even enabling the Compiz Visual effects. This makes a great deal of difference with Windows and GNU Linux.

Tried Windows 7 in ma 512 MB system. Not bad.. The Graphics was bit too slow, probably because of low RAM. But the booting speed is terrific. The fastest boot i had ever in my system

I haven't used Vista until now. So don't whether its a Vista Clone or not. But one of my friends who have used Vista told me that its a Vista clone and no any serious changes are there.
