I'd have to say that WordPress which is edited/hacked to be like a CMS is a better deal. Joomla/Mambo have too many vulnerabilities. Wordpress has some pretty awesome features too. I prefer it to even MKPortal. If you must know, there also is a SMF-WP bridge.

What has happened is that your admin locked the file down but it can be unlocked to fix up any issues or edits that need to be changed on the file. This can be achieved but depends on which way your admin locked down the file. As a last resort you can always edit all the settings via ftp as long as the file as the appropriate CHMOD permissions if hosted on a linux server/machine. |

I really just want it unlocking so that i can add my meta tags. And also so i can allow proxy ips as i have AOL sers using their browser. What doy you mean admin? someone from prfuse host? And it won't allow me to edit via ftp. I think its totally FCUK'ed!

I do not mean someone from Profusehost as it is not a Profusehost error. Did you set it up yourself?? If you would like me to fix it for you and show you how to use Joomla in more detail drop me an email.. By default Joomla should allow you to edit the config.php file, etc.

I tried Joomla, Mambo, Drupal and a few more. Among them, I liked Drupal most. Have anyone tried that? Its really cool. Currently, I am not using any as I don't have a need. I think CMS are useful mainly to create sites for an event very easily......

It's not that we don't know how to code websites. It's that CMS allows more efficiency when you want to update content on the go (instead of editing via the code and then reuploading the new file).
