yep the 9800 gtx is slightly faster than the 8800 ultra. I own 1 8800 ultra and i dont think its a good upgrade for me to go for the 9 series. i might check 3870x2 though since i can do xfire with it in my board.

That's what I hate about the Maximus Formula. It is a great motherboard, it really is. But the fact that it can't do SLI really bothers me.

ATi's HD48x0's are great, it seems. And they're very cheap too. I'd advise anyone who's buying computer now to get 2 of those. 2 still come for a good price and will give great performance. Problem is that CF does scale like crap in quite a few games though...

try to use ATI its better not cheaper right, but I was at the past using N-vidia card and I face very bad color with my designing programs so when I lately update it to ATI the whole working change to improve about 25% more in every part of my work in designing specifically the color bits its great and fast, so try it and never regret

Uhm, dude... nVidia is still faster... ATi is cheap and that is a good thing.

Note that for gaming nVidia usually producees better frames (TWIMTBP, y'know).
If I didn't have a 9800 GTX (bought for 450 USD at release, pre-order) I would have not bought a GTX 260 or HD 4870 in CF (though probably now, CF scales very bad...)

Ok, looking back that last part of my sentence didn't make any sense.
I meant to say, I would have bought a GTX 260 or 4870 in CF. Not CF because it doesn't scales all that good compared to SLI.

I only use nVidia cards...

They're most likely the best, and I really don't trust ATI for some reason (had some bad experiences in the past), even after they've been bought up my my favorite company, AMD.
