What is a Google Datacenter?
According to a recent (Jan. 2005) Interview on CBS's 60 Minutes, Google reported that it currently had over 100,000 servers in which it used to store data on. Google stores a cached version (copy) of every page it finds on the internet!

This link is not working, can you post the link once again please. But, Wow that is great. One Lakh servers around the world. And if they are caching all the pages they see. They currently now have a backup of information in the world. So anything happens to my website. I can go and fetch the data from their server.

check 100 times before you post a link.your link shows some crappy parked domain page.that domain is dead like you. google should invent something new.otherwise,as the number of webpages are increasing, oneday google have to fill all the continents' land with servers.it should invent something new which will store more data in a less space.

One of my organisations department is working on tool that will help to save more data than requied size for ex :- you can save 1 gb data in CD .
