Zen Cart Software setup?

I am trying to use my Zen Cart software and it is not going well at all, I am trying to follow their directions but I am not getting anywhere. Can anyone help with "Zen Cart for dummies" put it in very plain terms for me so I can set it up, I already have it unzipped, but that is about it.

Maybe you have trouble to initialize database. Try to create your database manually and install it again.
