we have fixed that email issue and email should be working fine now. If you still encounter email problems, please submit a ticket.

According to the WebCEO monitoring report of my site, the estimated time on error was: 56h 5min 28sec.
that sounds about right. Our servers were only down for 30 min but the problem was DNS which requires propagation since our IP changed. Therefore, some clients were able to reach their site and some had to wait longer due to DNS.

we were not down for almost a week. Depending on the DNS, we were down from 2-3 days only. Those with the updated DNS were able to reach the server within 48 hours after the server was moved.

Please think about it. I know it is extra work to do, but it is worst it.

As stated it was an emergency migration. I was not even home when I got the call and I just went straight to the data center to help with the move. We were all up till 5 AM for 2 days straight during the migration to make sure everything was working fine. I would have emailed everyone if i was in the position to do so. Also, the problem is profusehost.net is hosted on same server as free web hosting account. We are thinking of moving profusehost.net to a remote server so we can at least have the main site up in case we encounter any problems.

Yes I almost thought that Profusehost had gone down esp since I had submitted a support request and I have still received no response from that.

It would be good to receive an email when something like this happens or something at least on psychz.net to say that Profusehost is down.

Maybe someone should be hired to deal with client's in regards to liason when these sorts of things happen and only on a casual basis when needed. I would be happy to do something like this if needed. Say you could then email the liason person and get them to deal with all support requests and emailing all the clients to let them know the site is down for maintenance, etc.

Anyhow I still like Profusehost and will continue to use them.

Me too, if there is any need for another technical assistant here at profusehost.net I would be pleased to help. If you want to I can setup a mailing list on another server, so when profusehost.net goes down, you only have to sent one mail to this mailinglist and then all customers get a mail with informations about the downtime, so we can manage our clients and stuff.

Still had to make those 30 posts and was shocked to see the site down. Didn't know what to do and then I got the mail for my account being suspended. Very glad that everything is working now.

Good work and it really isn't such a big problem. Every site encounters these types of problems now and then. It's inevitable..

It would be good for whoever posted the 30 posts last month for some of their quota to roll over in recognition of them filling their quota in less than a month even though there was the massive downtime at the end of last month due to upgrades to the server!
