Google Image Search Starts Displaying Text Ads

Back in 2006, Google mentioned that they could have added more $80 to $200 Million a year to their revenue by placing a text ads to their Image Search. But Google did not carry out the project since experiment stated that people used the Ad Service less. Now again in 2009, Google has started Text Ads in it's image search service. It's not yet clear how useful it would be for people and Google but it's clear that Google has now a new source to generate more revenues.

Use it daily and hadn't even noticed it, until now. Works pretty neat though. The add isn't screaming at you and they are very relevant in general.

Well, I use Firefox with AdBlock Plus you see, so I don't see any ads anywhere, so it doesn't matter to me. Good day.
