| Right click my computer, choose manage (computer management opens).In the left column it says Computer Management (local) Right click it and choose: Connect to another computer Select your computer you wish to shut down Right click (where it used to say computer managment (local)....Then you get the computer information Goto the advanced tab and at the bottom choose Startup and Recovery and click the (mighty) shutdown button. |

| it is a nice trick.but is it for wireless?or only for local area network?if my computer is a client one,can i still shutdown the server computer?is it possible?or not possible?tell me in details or refer me somewhere i can get more infos bout this matter. I would like to know more about it. If some one is on the other other computer will it show any option there? |

| Very cool trick i have to say. We tried it once in our music class and tried to shut down our music teachers laptop with what he was presenting a slideshow to our whole class. Unfortunately we didn't found his computer and we failed. But we used another more complex method. This i think is much easier. |
