Default How do I remove the screen on my HP Pavilion DV2000?

I followed the instructions in the manual but there are a couple of thin black wires that come from the screen (from next to the hinges) and they are hooked to something under the metal cover. I could not see where they are going or hooked up to. I tried to remove the metal cover that is under the keyboard but it is not coming out. I unscrewed all the screws from the back, removed the CD ROM, removed the battery, but still can't remove that metal cover. Unless there is an easier way to unhook the two wires.

Thanks
