Is it possible to have different screen resolutions for different users on a computer? I share a comp. with a parent and they need a lower resolution (bigger) to see things, but I prefer a larger resolution (smaller).

If you are using Xp, Xp does not support this feature, but you can use a third party software to do the same Its called MULTIRES and can be found at http://www.entechtaiwan.com/util/multires.shtm

What to do is, once you have installed it, place a shortcut to the program in the \Documents and Settings\USER\Start Menu\Programs\Startup folders of each user.
In the properties of this shortcut, add statements to the target line to choose which res, colour depth etc. that you want.
EXAMPLE:
"D:\Program Files\MultiRes\MultiRes.exe" /1024,768,32,85
hope that helps
no. what you need to do is set the resolution to your needs, when your parents go on it, press the windows key and 'u' then start the magnifier
