Have you registered to recieve automatic updates? Why don't you just go to the Fedora site and download the packages that you want?
i haven't registered to receive automatic updates , i ve installed from live cd every package has a dependency issuse so cannot go on manually downloading and installing it takes lot of time and effortbut when installing through add remove applications or during the system update similar to windows update which shows the size of updates this does nt show !!!
i hope u got my point!>?
I hope fedora has got a package manager, other than the add or remove applications. It might show you the size of files needed to be downloaded. I am not much familiar with Fedora, but Debian based GNU/Linux distros which I use, shows the size of files needed to be downloaded.
