Why download all those tweets, when you can view them always online? All you need is an internet connection.

I have redirected it to my G-Talk using Identica. So, there is no need for me to backup. I have them always in my Inbox.

I think it is better idea to use Identica or identi.ca. You will receive all the updates as instant message or chat in our Inbox. I haven't tried it by myself. But one of my friends is doing that. I am also going to do that. And I would like to add some of this features to my website also.
