| I got 2 torrents. Before you go accusing me of doing something I didn't do, I did this. A couple of years ago, I bought Sonic Adventure DX and Sonic Heroes. Just recently, my Gamecube malfunctioned. I couldn't fix it. So I got a torrent for the PC version of both games. Is it legal? I don't want to get in trouble. |

| Nobody will catch you for having those two games that are old, but to be ethical no you shouldn't use torrents all of which are illegal but nobody cares if you do use it, just don't go saying to everyone "Hey, i just got this awesome new torrent, though i know it is illegal" |

| Its not legal. But nobody will ever catch you or they will not try to do that. But it is not legal and its against copy right laws. Its safe not to take it in CD and got to fly by air. I heard that some airports check the cd you have for copy right and you may be caught |

I am not a troll but seriously, do some actual research before posting please! Torrents are NOT illegal, it is the CONTENT of the torrent that determines its legality, if its a tv show, music, published book/ebook/audiobook, widely distributed movie, program, game (within copyright of course, if they are no longer copyrighted it is legal to download them). Then it is illegal, but if you are sharing pics or documents, homebrew programs, or your own music then its 100% legal. in sambinoxoxoxo's case, it is technically illegal to download those games because the game cube and all of its games are still under copyright, but noone it gonna bust you for two games, the people that get busted are people who download gigs and gigs of stuff every day and people who sell it. |

And by the way, in countries like India, Pakistan, etc, who cares about legal and illegal stuffs, as long as there are no raids... |

| Well, not, it isn't legal. You've got one licence, and that's to use the software for your gamecube. So in theory I think it would be legal to get a copy for your gamecube, but that would require to install a mod-chip, which is illegal. But hey, just do it. I had bought GTA IV for PC, but it wouldn't let me activate (my serial wasn't for my region, it said... Beh), so I cracked it. Yes, not legal, but I bought the game from a store, I just want to play it. |
