As they say over doing anything is bad. Similarly, I don't think parents should overdo it. Personally, my parents never overdid it with me. They never controlled me. They guided me. Thats all. They taught me how to differentiate between whats good and bad. The worst, I understand all of this when I am far away from them. The day I realised this, I made a promise to myself that I will take care of them no matter what.

Default Let us not blame parents

Lets not blame parents

Right from our birth they have take care of their children with acute care. They know how to groom a child for the betterment.

There will always be bitterness when scolded for any wrong doing which a child at its age would not realize.

Parents are those who does every thing for the child without any reciprocation.

But parents never did this all things for sure. But they were over concerned about me and is always caring. I think parents do such things because of the love they have for you. Its not like dominating you and we because of our age and thinking, consider this all things as a barrier to our freedom. But for sure i don want my parents to be over concerned about me.

Only 10 now, but we've gone a long way... Still, they tend to be controlling, but fail at it these days. Not to say that I rebel or anything, but they just can't put up stupid rules for 10 year old and they seem to be finally exepting that and these days they (finally) just leave me alone.

Whatever parents do it is only for the betterment of the kid and nothing beyond that. It is quarrel children always does.

It is the quarrel we do against our parents the same way the our parents would have done with their parents. So when we become parent and have the responsibility of grooming a child in good way, we realize

i agree.these are the bad habits very common among the parents of indian subcontinent.these things pressurize the child to be spoiled more.i don't say that parents' intentions are bad but with these over dose of controls ,young guyz get spoiled.

Firstly, It is not a habit and that too definitely a bad habit. And the second one "especially Indian Sub-continent" which cannot be accepted. It is everywhere the parents control their children.

And if you say it is more in India, then that could be the reason for maintaining the culture and tradition
