Default Why you selected free hosting

This is just a survey to know why so many people here at profusehost selected free hosting.

Is it just because of the financial problem or any other particular reason.

I have paid hosting accounts and I am a freelance web designer, doing it as a part time job along with my studies.

I do maintain many non commercial websites and I can't afford hosting all of them in my paid servers. So, I host them here.

I can not afford paid hosting that is why I am here. Also, I think dedicated hosting is very costly and if any ways, I am going to spend on shared hosting, why not free hosting if it is as good as ProfuseHost?

Being a non-profit group, infact, we don't even have any form of income at all, I thought going for free hosting would be the best option, as Profusehost does serve practically all our needs.

Only time some cash get's flowing, it's during events we organise. Though all the profit gets redistributed, so we still end up with nothing.

My resons... i have two:

First, i cannot afford paid hosting because i don't have any money online

Second, if i do pay for hosting, there will be no way for me to be able to handle the price per month because... well... my site doesn't make any money for it is a non-revenue site so i don't really pack in the $$$

I wanted to save money and use free hosting since our business is just getting started and doesn't make much money yet. However, I had to switch from ads to Post for Host because the most gruesome horrible ads were showing up on our site, and it was a site selling toys for little kids! Had to get rid of those.
