What happened in Haiti earthquake?

I have a quiz in history today about Haiti. can someone please give me a bunch of facts about what happened with the earthquake?

It was a 7.0 or higher on the Richter scale. There are at least, according to some sources, 40,000 already buried as of Friday. The death toll could go to 200,000 or higher. It were over 2 million people in Port-au-Prince, the capital city, which was hardest hit. Aid is pouring in from the US and many other countries, but it is very difficult to get it to the people and there is starting to be violence, looting and civil unrest in the already poverty stricken country, the poorest in the Western Hemisphere and one of the poorest in the world.
