Social Networking site are good in the sense that, it help us to get connected with our friends, keep in touch always and make new friends. Its sure that there will be a dark side for good thing. There are many abuses reported in social networking sites. But in a whole, they are good.(my view)

social networking is the real power of internet. you don't have to wait for months to find someone you need to contact.but social networks are not 100% ok.many abuses happen there.also it kills a lot of time of young generation finding a gf or bf inside social networks.

Don't like them.. I'm like the only one of all my friends that doesn't have any account at any of these social websites. I just don't like them... it's just exposing myself in an environment of very childish people. At least, that's how I view it..

I'm fine without them, thanks.. I prefer meating people in real life.

Social Networking is not so bad. What is the problem is that some people get addicted to it at the beginning. But it was useful to me, I was able to find a lot of friends, who i could not have found.

I am with you Jace...I don't belong to any social networking sites at all anymore. I did used to belong to Facebook but I hated it right from the beginning...I hated it that people I didn't like could find my profile, I hated it that I had to add relatives I couldn't stand to my friends list, I hated learning every tiny detail about the lives of people I barely knew...people post such stupid stuff on there! As if I need to know that someone I worked with 8 years ago is going to a particular bar tonight!

So I deleted my Facebook account, and I feel good about that. I too would rather talk to people in real life, or at least use the more private form of communication of email.

Really, I think overall these sites are bad because people are using this form of communication to replace real face-to-face communication.

Umm. Reading all your views, I think you all do not understand the true meaning of Social Networking. Yes it does give you all those things that you all said. But, it also does give you the choice of protecting all that you share.
Those are called 'privacy settings' and they exist on all those social networking sites.

Every one has their own view towards social networking.

Can anyone point out the uses of Social Networking? Does it have any impact on any one life.

What are the benefits of social networking for a person or how effective a person can use it to enhance? Will it have a direct impact on the person who uses the social networking?
