PS3 Price Drop In a Month?

One of my friends says the PS3 80 gig model will be $100 less in a month.. Did sony execs release anything official or is it just a rumor?

If they decide to go with third party chips, I'd assume they'd do it for all versions. Also, that $100 figure is not something Sony has said, your friend made that up.
