    Default PS3 power cord........?

I seem to have left my PS3 power cord back home (i'm in college). Is it possible to use other power cords WITHOUT damaging or messing up the PS3 console? For example....could I use my computer power cord to power up my PS3 safely?

Do you live in America? If so that's not a good idea, because you guys have different voltages all over the place, and different cords etc. You can use a cord that did not come with your ps3 and was not made by Sony, but you should check it's one that has the same specs, because if not, your ps3 will asplode.
