    Default Future of China Toys

What do you think would be the future of toys manufactured in China?

    Will there be a change?

See, what might be good for you, might not be good for some one else. So, methinks there will be a reduction in import. Thats all.

Kids like poor quality little toys. China supplies those. Unless Children start developing higher pallets of entertainment much quicker, the toy industry in China will be fine.

No, the toys manufactured in China will continue to be poor quality.

But what will change is that some people will start looking for alternatives. For example, many good quality toys are manufactured in Germany. You can easily buy these from online toy retailers.

My husband and I make wooden toys and sell them locally, and many people are quite happy to find something that didn't come from China.

well in this current situation, i think china toys will be sold more and more.the motto behind china products is,"cheap". so, i think as there is a recession undergoing, china products will be sold more and more.

I agree that no matter what, toys will continue to be made in China! And they will always have the largest share of the market, as far as I can see.

I think that the recession doesn't necessarily make people want to buy the cheapest things though--it will make some people be more careful with their money. Spending money on Chinese toys is wasting it in many cases, because the toy breaks so soon.

I do agree that due to recession people will not go in for cheaper products. But the safety issue on Chinese toys is of more concern rather than the price factor.

No doubt they would hold a major share in the segment, they should be more sensible and should take care of the child safety issues (which is currently posing a great threat) as infants or small children would often put things on their mouth.

Further to what I already said in the post number 2, what kids will like, they will always get. They do not understand what is 'Made in China' and what is 'Made in India'. All they want is something to play with. So if they like it, they will buy or make you buy it for them.
Last time, I brought these good looking Hotwheels cars and was astonished to see that they were 'Made in China' too!

I think people are becoming much more aware of the bad quality parts China manufactures. Seems to me that people are actively trying to avoid them, but it has to be said, even high-end brands and products are manufactured in China quite often. It's a little hard to avoid at times...
It's going to decrease though, I'm sure.

Oh my god. China. They make so many products. Their future in the toy buisness will never end. Yea there probably will be a change. A crazy change. But they still manufacture MANY OTHER things! Many, But still you know wha ti mean.
