Default An eyeball that's also a camera!

Now this is definitely weird news. A filmmaker in Toronto, Canada, will be using a fake eye with a camera inside to create his new film. Creepy!

Do you think this is ethical?

I don't know how it will fit in his eye socket any way. Will he be able to close his eyes with his eye lids. We need to do that for keeping the eyes moist.

How could it be considered non-ethical? Ethics don't come in to this. It's just one guy swapping out his eye for a fake one. Ethics play no part there. Also, as to the post above, that doesn't matter. This fake eye doesn't need to be kept moist. It's fake. And why would that affect his other eyelid? He'll be fine.

It is unethical in the sense that he's filming things and people without them being aware of it, but that's no different from "normal" hidden camera's.

Yes exactly, he's filming people without them having any idea.

Come on! Anyone can make out a fake eye from a real eye. Don't you remember Terminator 3?

Yeah... but that was all fake, as in nobody was really using that as a substitute eye.

Filming without the knowledge of another is not an moral act.

It is not sure how things would really take shape
