Default does anybody agree with me that the psp is a failure?

does anybody agree with me that the psp is a failure? Ive bought one and hardly ever used it.1. Game selection is inferior to DS2. Portable TV for the psp is only out in Japan (not anywhere else!)3. Its online capabilities are limited(should've bought a DS)

I have used a psp and a DS, and even though the graphics are better on the PSP, I like the ds much more.

Originally yes, it was being outsold by both the Nintendo DS and Nintendo GameBoy Advance, was overpriced, the memory cards were a rip-off, and Sony consoles are always riddled with faults upon release, the favourite seems to be the processors and power supplies blowing up.Also, Sony just licenses every game going, so whilst it may have more games, only like 1 in 20 are worth buying, whereas Nintendo goes for quality over quantity and the number is more like 1 in 5.However, with the prices of a new PSP at less than £100, and the memory cards and games really cheap, it is becomming more successful and affordable. One thing that does let it down is the complexity of putting a video on it, and having to convert it and manually re-locate it and such, music and pictures are "drag and drop", so this should be too.And whilst the DS can also play music, video's and pictures using the Play-Yan and Music Player, the PSP has a larger screen, (about the size of both DS screens combined), and also the mildly successful UMD discs, so you don't have to rip, encode and shrink all of your DVD movies onto an SD chip, which are reasonably priced too.I have both consoles and I do prefer the DS, however, my PSP does get used a lot too, (bought myself a new PSP game today and the GoCam), and buying one of those with a chip is still better and cheaper than buying a ChavPod, sorry, iPod, and the sound is better on them too, since the iPod can't really handle bass that well. For online, with Sony, registering online is really awkward, having to wait for activation codes and such, however the DS is easier to get online and takes less than a minute, however each game has an individual code located to it, (something that was fixed with the release of the Wii), the bonus to this thugh is you can see when friends are on, and create individual friend lists per game. The DS has more online games than the PSP, and seem to run a lot smoother, there is certainly no slow-down online that's for sure, and the speech quality is fairly good.

sadly yes. one big money scam. either you're spending too much money on games that are spin offs of others games, or you're spending too much money on the memory sticks. and the battery life SUCKS!!!

i believe it doesnt suck because it out weighs the ds alot i have both the psp can browse the internet play games add back grounds view films and more its basically a mini labtop and the ds is a failure its like a brick it doesnt have internet and the games are very childish. Nintendo really needs to grow up and better their graphics.

yeah, i completely agree. the graphics are horrible, and the games aren't even fun. it's more of a bulky mp3 and movie player. lol. i love that they've sliced the price practically in half to get more people to buy it. sony is so desperate.

i TOTALLY DISAGREE. IM A SOLDIER AND IF YOU ARE OVERSEAS WITHOUT A PSP, LIFE SUCKS. THE DS IS SO KIDDY AND ITS NOT A GROWN UPS SYSTEM. THE PSP IS WAY MORE MODDIBLE AND IT HAS A WAY BETTER SELECTION OF GAMES AND GRAPHICS.. ILL TELL YOU THE ONLY GAME YOU NEED TO PLAY IS FINAL FANTASY 7 CRISIS CORE AND YOULL SEE WHAT I MEAN
