Can't believe I'm the one starting this thread. Ok, so, do you believe that god or a bunch of gods exist/exists? Are you an athiest? Or are you undecided? (I'm just going to use "God" to cover all gods are a god from herein, for convenience) I personally do not think that God exists as I have not seen enough proof that God exists. In fact I've barely seen any. By contrast, I see more proof in Science to suggest that God does NOT exist, so I'm following what seems more truthful to me. Oh, unless you count personal experiences as proof, which I don't, I've heard a lot of those. What do you guys think? EDIT: I'd have a poll but my internet screwed up when I hit submit so that won't be happening.

I agree that there isn't any scientific proof for the existence of God. The answer depends on person. What I feel more important is the peace of mind that I get after visiting a place of worship. I feel it always good to think of someone who exists and hears and see all our problems...

I believe that there is some kind of undetectable creative force present in our universe, but that does not have any compassion / power over its creations. If there were a compassionate "god" out there, the people who do more good than bad would have easier lives. (I'm not implying that I do more good than bad. Few people do.)

I am a firm agnostic. Which means that I don't know, and I don't think anyone can really know. I don't see any evidence of God at all. I am inclined to believe in the truths of science above everything else, and I am very skeptical of all supernatural stuff. However, I also acknowledge that science does not yet have *all* the answers, and that there may be things about the universe we do not yet understand, even supernatural things. IF there is a God, I believe it would be like zztech has said, a creative force without compassion or power. Sort of like the "Force" in Star Wars, as cheesy as that sounds. The idea that there is a God who loves all of us so much, and yet does nothing to help us and yet will throw us into eternal fire if we don't do what he says, is beyond ridiculous to me.

Answer to this question cannot be pin pointed to this or that. There is a small story (may be many of you would be knowing this). A man was pretty happy living with luxory and nice family. Every day in morning he walks on the beach shore. Whenever he walks he is accompanied by GOD. This is in practise for long time. He could able to see two sets of foot prints on the shore (one of his and the other one is GOD's) Few years later, the man was not living happily and was filled with sorrow, but he continued his morning walk on the shore. To his wonder he saw only one set of foot print. Then he asked GOD: GOD you walked along with me when i was living happily but in my sorrow you fail to accompany me. GOD replied: SON during your happy days I was walking along with you, but when you are sorrow I am the one who is carrying you on my shoulder. Those foot steps are mine and not yours since you are on my shoulder. So existence of GOD is not to be a point of debate. It goes with each and every individuals point of view. To me GOD DIRECTS ME

| I disagree firmly with that last post. Not only did you use a fictional story as proof for existence of "GOD" (you can just use God you know), you make it out to be factual. Also: Quote:
