I have my own Laptop with password but i have wireless family. So other people can use the internet at the same time.
Can someone see where i am when surfing at the same time?
Can someone see my history or where i was in the inernet on a bill?

Yeah, surely, in the server which provides you with the connection to net, they can log all your activities with the help of softwares. From there, sites could be blocked or can filter the contents. So, beware! Someone might be watching you...
I am new to networking and I am wondering if when you speak of "the server" does that even apply in my case when I have my IP coming into a wireless modem/router in my home? I have several computers in my home and use this strictly for internet use. I do not have file sharing set up and the "network" is password protected. The IP has told me that they have a physical firewall and that I do not need a software firewall as they (software firewall) useually just screw things up. I found their statement to be at least partly true as I was getting messages that the software was blocking a hacker which was actually the server sending a "ping". I'm not sure what that all means but the IP geek was convincing to me.
