Default How do I connect my laptop to the tv?

These items can usually be obtained from your local electronics shop for around $20 total! If you can't find an S-Video to RCA cable, you may find an S-Video to RCA adapter plug instead. Ask the guy at the shop - they'll be able to help you easily. Now you've got your plugs - connect them to the AV port which is the yellow, red and white rca plugs on your tv, and connect the other end to your laptop. You may need to press a button on your laptop which tells your laptop to send the video out through the S-Video port - check your manual if you can't find it.Now, you can use your laptop to play video files, DVD's or even just display what you are doing on your laptop. You may need to adjust the resolution of your laptop so you can see what you are doing.I actually found that the image from the laptop when playing video files looks much better on the TV than it does on my laptop, which I think has something to do with TV's being lower resolution the computer monitors, so the pixelation is kinda smoothed over, making it look better.

If your PC or laptop and TV is older version, this solution cant be done. Because my one was bought few years ago. And I did try the method stated. Unfortunately it won't work. actually the newer version of TV has a plug that same as the PC monitor. If you have no problem installing PC monitor to your CPU, then you shouldn't have problem installing your TV screen to your laptop as well. Check manual if you face problem, it should be little difference but not a big problem.

Default Try TV tuner card

I am not an expert in this field but my friends have a tv tuner card in their computer and they connect it to their tv. But usually latest laptops have some kind of plug that can be connected to tv directly. As I said I am not an expert in this but these were the suggestions given by my friends. Hope you solve the problem.

You get a TV tuner card. You just need to attach its cable to the input on the TV from an output of the laptop.

Some of the newer laptops come with an HDMI plug, so you might need one of those, however most HDTV's come with one
