Default Computer Problem. (Windows XP)

I have 2 computers, totalling at my house, my backup computer is hacked, for some reason...
Whenever I turn on my computer, and login, 15 seconds later, it just gives me an Shutdown error, and the computer turned off. I tried that for 15 times, and it still says the same things.

How and what is the problem, and why is it occurring to me?

I would suggest plugging the hdd into another computer as a seccondary hdd boot up off the primary hdd and then run an anti-virus program scan on the disc and see if there are any issues.

Delete and remove all viruses make a full back up after the drive is fixed, check for adware and spyware and if you still have the problem I would suggest a re-install of windows or provide us with further details of the issue and we can try and help out further.

I also think this problem is because of virus. So try to scan it with a anti virus program and it will be OK. I also had such experiences because of virus attacks.

Shutdown error
?
Any specific sound, or a popup message or what ? please be more specific !

You said you searched for viruses but did not find any thing, how do you scan for viruses if your computer shuts down itself after 15 sec ? You have to install the drive in an second computer, which might cause MBR (master Boot record errors).

Ok my idea was there might be an Memory Error, because if you say it is always the same time, that might be when the ram chip is filled data gets lost and then windows can not handle the error anymore and shuts down itself. Just to be sure I am wrong, replace the memory by some other memory sticks .

such virus/spyware is affecting your system... it might be it corrupts your logon.exe file or something like that... i dont really know the exact file but it's like that...

re-installing windows, and undergo a Full format of your HDD, in general this will resolve the problem

I have had this problem before on one of my computers. It is a windows shutdown box dialog box that says that your computer has encountered an error and needs to be shut down.

A print screen of that dialog box or a copy of it if you can write it down for us in a post would help me a lot in giving you a precise solution to solving this problem otherwise we are probing in the dark.

Do you have any vnc programs installed on your pc??

It looks that you have an old virus called msblaster (W32.Blaster.Worm). There are some applications that remove that virus for free. Symantec has it.
good luck

Boot into safe mode and run anti-virus tools on the xp machine or try a windows recovery if that will work. Give it a go as they should work and the windows recovery requires your windows xp install cd and shouldn't delete any data.

If its not due to viruses, I doubt its due to problems with the windows services. The same error, listed by wired076 happens when you end a particular "SVCHOST.EXE" from the task manager. Its not that harmful and be ok after rebooting.
