Yes it can also occur if you type shutdown -r into a command prompt. Especially useful if you are using remote desktop and need to restart the pc. Ok yes you can still do it by clicking on the start bar and then clicking the padlock and it brings up the alt, ctrl, del menu.

your computer might have a computer virus or such the like preventing you to use it... or someone programmed coming from the network to tell your computer to shutdown everytime it is turned on.. reformat might help

You said you searched for viruses but did not find any thing, how do you scan for viruses if your computer shuts down itself after 15 sec ? You have to install the drive in an second computer, which might cause MBR (master Boot record errors).

Ok my idea was there might be an Memory Error, because if you say it is always the same time, that might be when the ram chip is filled data gets lost and then windows can not handle the error anymore and shuts down itself. Just to be sure I am wrong, replace the memory by some other memory sticks .

Second, what shutdown error do you see? Is it a blue screen or a Window stating that the RPC service etc has been shutdown?
