Default new imovie is a step backward

wow everything else in ilife 08 is great such as the enhancements in garageband, iphoto, and iweb. the imovie however is missing some core features such as no timeline, no indicator of duration of movie, no manually adjuting audio levels and so on and so forth. The old imovie had these complex tools that gave a great feel to it so that you didn't have to buy final cut pro. It doesn't accept plugins either. All the old audio effects are gone, too. No pitch changing, high-pass and low-pass filters, or reverb. all visual effects themes, and chapter markers/bookmarks are gone. it cant even convert older imovie projects. this is outrageous and apple seems to be "oversimplifying" beyond insanity. they admitted it was for "throwing movies together quickly" anyone else mad?

ya im a bit angry with it to. ive been using my older computer to create movies. using the older version of imovie. they over simplified it to a 10 year olds vision and capability.

i agree that everything else is great in ilife 08.

argh i hope apple does something about it although they probably wont.
