I wouldn't be able to comment on the newest apple os but I would say that vista is still not ready to be used full time esp in business situations as it is still having lots of bugs and problems being caused due to inherent issues within the os and it still does not have support for all software and hardware as yet. Vista needs a beefy os and a newest pc to be able to run smoothly as the pc requires intensive system resources to be used including a graphics card to be used just to run the os let alone the games like we currently use graphics cards for.

    that;s right man.
i am having vista on my laptop. i find that if you set it to windows default theme. it is better to use & a bit faster then the usual aero theme.

also i found that the ALT TAB function of aero will be lost once you try with windows classic theme

    Even better....

Stick with xp for the time being and upgrade to Vista once you absolutely have to. Too many bugs for me still and I love testing new things I just can't trust Microsoft enough to change over as yet...

Anyway, Vista is not a right choice. Me too haven't got an opportunity to use a Apple based system.

Why don't you go for Linux distros? Its most stable..... No more system hanging crashes and less restarts......

Its what we call stable right? Linux Distros are getting more user friendly now.

Anyway vista gotta have a high configuration, I never used windows vista and Not had a chance to get a glimpse of apple system. But I know both this OS looks great. Now Linux is also having such nice look(May be greater).. And doesn't need that much of high end configuration. So why not Linux???

this damn vista is a bunch of .... no point in using such a Operating system which eats like a pig your resources & also slow on opening & closing docs movies & files.

can;t be trusted to use on a laptop.
when my warranty is finished i will buy a WINXPSP2 & install it

NO DOUBT - Apple Leopard 10.5
Why should you ask this question as ALL HUMAN BEINGS know that VISTA is...

You should try buying a MAC instead of Windows based PC.
All the best with it & try buying one - i heard that MAC Pro will slash prices for X'mas. Try getting one

To get to know Apple Mac OS X Leopard better you might visit the Apple Homepage or an Apple store, just try. I myself switched from Win xp to Mac OS X tiger last year and I will never go back. Windows sucks, so many viruses, high hardware requirements (especially vista). But if windows is required for your work (maybe you use some software which is windows only) then I recommend to stay with xp, because the improvements (vista compared to xp) are the design, Direct X 10 and some minor ones, so I do not see any reason to upgrade. Correct me if I am wrong.
About the mac, it makes computing easier. It's stable, fast and look really nice. So if you do not have to care about money try a Mac.
